Bee seed bombs are a simple way to introduce a colourful mix of flowers and herbs to your garden while providing food and habitat for pollinators. Using a seed ball technique that dates back thousands of years, each Bee Bomb combines natural clay with soil and compost to protect the seeds and provide nutrients for germination.

Simply place the seed bombs on the surface of the soil rather than burying them. They can also be placed on top of potting soil in a container. When the conditions are right, including sufficient water and sunlight, the clay will break down and the seeds can begin to germinate naturally.

The organic, non-GMO seed mix includes a diverse selection of annual cottage flowers, herbs and native Australian varieties. Seeds include Calendula, Cornflower, Californian Poppy, Fineflower, Toadflax, Alyssum, Wallflower, Nemophila, Poppy, African Marigold, Chinese Forget-Me-Not, Borage, Evening Primrose, Lavender, Native Violet, Pink & White Everlasting Daisy, Swan River Daisy, Sage and Bee Balm.

As the plants grow, they can provide nectar, pollen, shelter and food for a range of garden visitors, including native bees, flies, beetles, butterflies, moths and birds.

Bee patient when growing your seed bombs, as some varieties may not flower in their first year and can reward you with more blooms in following seasons. Each seed bomb is hand mixed and rolled and contains a relatively small amount of seed, so they are intended for scattered planting rather than creating a large meadow of flowers.
